Aleksandra Vajd and Hynek Alt are not solely a Czech-Slovenian collaborative artistic team within the medium of photography, they are aswell a couple in life.

 

Their Project Man Woman Unfinished has started spontaneously from curiosity and playfulness. It grew continuously into an intimate confession carried out in a series of portraits. This reciprocal examination came out of a basic need to learn about the person one has decided to live with, to bare responsibility and share everything. The images capture and recreate intense moments of mutual observation. Project Man Woman Unfinished is a permanently expanding work in progress and its purpose is to remain unfinished and rearranged. The transformation and growth are its basic nature and they express open possibilities of combinations aiming at constant recreations of memory. The resulting context of images defines again and again the border between present and past.
